Katy High’s FFA Teams have been bringing home many awards! The teams have placed in multiple categories out of hundreds of competitors, and individuals have been selected for incredible FFA scholarships.
In the Katy ISD Livestock Show, Kailey Wycloff was the Reserve Champion for the Broiler Exhibition and was in the live auction. Chase Schaper was the overall Reserve Champion for the Market Swine Exhibition. Rachael Chandler was the Reserve Champion Showman for the Goat exhibition. Mikaela Saenz was the Grand Champion for Swine Showmanship. Katy FFA earned First and Second Places Overall at the San Antonio Livestock Show! The team earned these spots by competing against over 100 other teams throughout Texas. Katy FFA’s Poultry Team swept the floor and earned First Place at the Prairie View A&M contest. Congratulations on placing in these competitions, Katy FFA!
As for the scholarships, “five Katy FFA members received a Chad Thomas Memorial Scholarship.” Congratulations to Kylie Roesler, Caroline Jurecka, Mallory Peoples, Samantha Foster, and Jason Stewart for earning this scholarship. Carolina Jurecka also received a $1,000 Katy Rodeo Scholarship!
