The show must go on! Katy High School Theatre Department has recorded their production of War of the Worlds. Audiences can watch the live recording via Broadway on Demand from Thursday through Sunday. The students will bring this original radio script to life with costumes, set pieces and props.

Katy High School’s Theatre Department wanted to provide a way to showcase their talented students in a safe manner. KHS was unable to fill auditorium seating due to restrictions from COVID-19.

Families and friends can purchase tickets on Broadway on Demand for shows on Thursday to Sunday, October 1-4 at 7 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday, October 4 at 2 p.m.

The KHS Theatre department has a history of successful and talented productions, such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Metamorphoses. When provided a choice for this years show, the students majority vote went towards the production of War of the Worlds, the radio broadcast based on the H.G. Wells novel. “In the age of COVID-19, I believe our students were craving the opportunity to produce a production with circumstances that mirror our own,” says Katy Tagliabue, Head Theatre Director at KHS.

Tune in and support the KHS Theatre Department’s hard work and talent.
