Katy High Student Advances to RODEOHOUSTON Art Auction

Congratulations to Katy High Senior, Seogene Lee, whose artwork “Morning Greetings” has advanced to the RODEOHOUSTON Art Auction! Seogene is one of twelve students chosen to represent Katy ISD at the citywide rodeo auction event on March 15 at the NRG Arena. “Katy ISD earned the most auction placements with 12 Katy ISD students headed to the HSLR Art Auction.”

RODEOHOUSTON began the School Art Program more than 50 years ago to “challenge students to think outside of the box.” Since then, the program has continued to “support 142 different school districts, including private and parochial schools, in the Houston area.” The School Art Program offers students the opportunities to win scholarships, travel and have their artwork displayed for recognition. Through RODEOHOUSTON’s dedication to Fine Arts, many students have earned opportunities to attend the universities they could only dream of visiting.
