Katy ISD has begun deliberations regarding their current bond proposal to address the rapid student grown within the district. The risks of three meetings was held to assess the district’s capital needs.
The committee is addressing the district’s enrollment projections, the need for new schools to address capacity limitations, needed renovations for aging campuses, buildings across the district and more. The proposal includes the funding for five new campuses and much needed renovations of several current facilities.
The committee plans to reconvene on Jan. 20 and Jan. 27 in order to finalize the bond package to be recommended to the board of trustees on Feb. 8.
