Welcome back to the school year, Katy ISD students, parents and teachers in Falls at Green Meadows community! We hope you had a summer filled with fun events and quality time with your little ones. There are so many good news about Katy ISD and we are so happy to be a part of such an amazing district that’s also ranked as “one of the Best Employers in Texas” by Forbes Magazine. Falls at Green Meadows is incredibly proud that our school district was Texas’s only school district to be listed by Forbes. Our high school, Katy High, was named the second-best high school for athletes in Houston by Niche.com, as well. We are just starting the school year off so well in our community.

Parents, Katy ISD is making it easier than ever for you to stay involved with your child’s school. There is a new app called Edulog Lite to track the Katy ISD school buses in the event your child won’t enable “share my location” on their phones with you. EduLog Lite will help parents make sure that their child got to and from school safe while they’re at work or running errands. We’re so happy Katy ISD implemented this because we all want to ensure the safety of the kids, so it’s great to know exactly where the children are while the buses are en route!
Another new system is the A+Pay N’ Go where parents can pay their student’s lunch accounts, and other campus and district related fees. There won’t be any transaction fees, and the system will only accept credit cards and eChecks.

With mental health awareness on the rise, Katy ISD is offering Legacy Parent Academy to help you to help your child through stressful times in the best way possible. The words parents use can have a tremendous impact on their child’s future. This class aims to help prepare parents for all subjects the may need to know about their child such as mental health, cyberbullying, social media, internet safety, drug and alcohol awareness, and more. Classes and presentations will start on August 28 with Mental Health Awareness and Services. Visit the Katy ISD webpage to see the schedule for Legacy Parents academy.
