The new location is the first Texas location for the dessert restaurant. The dessert shop serves organic soft-serve ice cream topped with Italian syrups and other toppings. The Katy City Council unanimously approved an amendment naming the long-anticipated hotel operator as the Hyatt Regency. An 80-acre lake and 2-mile boardwalk was completed in March 2018 in the 200-acre, mixed-use development after a year of construction. Katy's improvements are continuing as it seeks to be a destination city.

Emma Sticklen reached four championship finals, bringing home a gold medal and a silver medal to lead Katy Aquatics Team for Youth at the 2018 Speedo Winter Junior Championships-West, last month at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin. Superintendent Lance Hint’s last day is Jan. 1, and to prepare for his departure the Katy ISD board of trustees has named an acting superintendent. The board unanimously approved Kenneth Gregorski as the acting superintendent at the Nov. 12 meeting. He is currently the district’s deputy superintendent, a position he has held since December 2016, and he will start his new role Dec. 1.
On Sunday, December 2nd, Falls at Green Meadows residents are invited to the 2018 Falls at Green Meadows Santa Stop event at the Falls at Green Meadows Recreation Center. This annual event will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

Daddy Duncan’s BBQ will open a permanent location on 2 acres of land across from Four Seasons Park near the intersection of Katy Hockley Cut Off Road and Clay Road.
